The flywheel uses air resistance for the most natural feeling possible. The damper acts like a derailleur, allowing you to adjust the resistance. Unlike most stationary bikes, the BikeErg has a freewheel, so like a normal bike, the pedals remain stationary when you stop pedalling, while the flywheel continues to spin.
The powerful Performance Monitor connects via Bluetooth to a wide range of apps, including our own free app ErgData or third-party apps such as Zwift. The BikeErg comes with an integrated device holder that lets you keep your smartphone or tablet securely in place. The device holder fits everything from small smartphones to large tablets and is easily and quickly adjustable. The device holder can be removed, moving the Performance Monitor to the end of the handlebar rail.
